Anderson’s Candy Shop of Richmond and Barrington, IL, has presented a check for $5,076 to the Family Health Partnership Clinic of Crystal Lake.
The check was presented to the clinic’s Board of Directors at their Feb. 22 meeting. The money represented proceeds from the shop’s annual holiday Give Back Box campaign.
Fourth-generation candymakers Susanne Anderson and Kate Anderson-Tedder created the special chocolate assortment in 2012 as a fundraiser for the clinic.
For each Give Back Box sold at $16.95, 25% of the sale was donated to Family Health Partnership’s patient fund. FHPC provides primary healthcare to people in McHenry County who do not have health insurance.
The program was designed to raise money and awareness of the services the Clinic provides to those in need. Since the beginning, the employees of Anderson’s Candy Shop have worked hard to create and promote these boxes and have raised more than $12,000.00 for the patient fund and provided increased awareness of the Clinic’s mission.
