People who live, work and employee in McHenry County came out in huge support of the needs of uninsured women in need of breast cancer services. Many were present for the 14th Annual Care4 Breast Cancer 5K in participant, volunteer and spectator roles! We had 2,200 participants, 400 volunteers and hundreds of people cheering! The Family Health Partnership Clinic-hosted event was supported by numerous businesses including Sage Products Inc., the Presenting Sponsor, TurnKey Digital of Woodstock provided aerial coverage, Star 105.5 radio personalities/management provided marketing just to name a few. The Gavers Community Cancer Foundation participated and donated $35,000.00 to the Clinic. Area schools participated, hundreds of breast cancer survivors attended, local organizations donated buses, businesses provided product/services, hundreds of Woodstock residents allowed the race to come through their neighborhoods, local photographers covered the event and hundreds of people supported the 5K behind the scenes.
