Susan Singleton was intrigued by the clinic whenever Joe Cicero and Tina Bree talked on the radio about the Care4 Breast Cancer 5k Run/Walk. Joe introduced Susan to the clinic and shortly after she met staff members and took a tour. She became a sponsor of the 5k and arranged to have placements in her five Singleton Family McDonald’s restaurants advertising the race. She and her sisters continue to be hands-on with promoting the Care4 5k and educating people about the clinic. We appreciate their amazing support and friendship!
Dick and Yvonne Ahrens were introduced to the clinic in 2008 and shortly after Dick joined the Board of Directors. They have both been very involved in our annual galas and race/walks through their attendance, volunteerism and sponsoring of the events. Dick and Yvonne have volunteered many times through the years in many capacities ranging from scanning medical records to bartending! They readily talk with others about the clinic and share their passion for it. We are grateful for their selfless contribution to support our mission and patients!
Albums of Hope was founded in July 2010 by Laura Townsend of Crystal Lake through her love of her husband, after he was diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer. Albums of Hope provides pocket-sized photo albums to those who need a lift during difficult times. Laura has provided albums for our patients and she has been at our Care4 Breast Cancer 5k to hand them out. We are touched to have these special gifts to give to our patients in need. www. albumsofhope.com
