“I came to your clinic back in December through the IBCCP program to see Dr. Riggs. I first saw her in her McHenry office for a cyst in my breast. Between my hesitance to have it checked, and the fact that I had not had any screenings in at least ten years, she spent most of her time talking to me and reassuring me. I currently do not have insurance, so she told me about the free screenings at the clinic. In the meantime, she sent me off with a prescription to call Gaver’s Cancer Center for the ultrasound she needed, and gave me information about your clinic.
From the Gaver’s Cancer Center, I was sent to the IBCCP program, and eventually to the clinic. Everyone there is just as wonderful as Dr. Riggs had said. I always thought of cancer screenings as just a way for insurance companies and hospitals to make money. You all have proven me wrong. I am so grateful to have met so many people who care.
I truly believe I was guided to Dr. Riggs, and all those who helped guide me to your clinic. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle, and am very grateful and comforted to know I have a place to go to be sure I am in good health. All I wanted in the beginning was to have that cyst gone. It is still there, but I have received so much more. Now, when it bothers me, it reminds me of all the wonderful people I have met because of it.
I have just reenrolled in the IBCCP program and am due for my next exam in July. I am very grateful and thank each one of you for everything you do. Looking forward to see you soon.”
