The McHenry County Board has named August as Illinois Free and Charitable Clinics Month and County Board President, Jack Franks, presented Suzanne Hoban, E.D., with a proclamation.
There are 48 free and charitable clinics providing 162,000 visits to approximately 100,000 patients each year in Illinois. They receive no federal funding to provide patients medical care at little to no cost, relying instead on contributions from individual donors and charitable foundations.
